Is the henna natural?
Yes. Genie artists use natural, plant-based henna only — never “black henna”, which contains PPD and can cause serious skin reactions. Tell your artist about any allergies when you book.
When should bridal henna be done?
One to two days before the wedding gives the deepest colour on the day. Book your artist 4–8 weeks ahead in wedding season (May to September) and before Eid and Diwali, and book a trial 2–4 weeks before.
How long does henna take and how long does it last?
Festival palms take about 15–30 minutes per person; full bridal henna takes 3 to 6 hours. Leave the paste on for 4–6 hours (overnight for bridal). The stain darkens over 48 hours and lasts 1–3 weeks.
Can I book henna for a group?
