Is the Home Passport free?
Yes. Setting it up, your home plan, reminders and records are all free. You only pay if you book a service.
How long does it take?
About a minute for the first three questions, and a few more minutes if you want to add details like roof age or past jobs. Every question is optional except your address.
Why do you ask about pets, kids or someone 65+?
Only to tailor your plan — pets mean more frequent filter changes and pet-hair cleans, little ones mean childproofing, someone 65+ means grab bars and safety rails. We only ask for a rough age group (under 5, school-age, 65+) — never names or birthdays — and you can skip it.
Who can see my Home Passport?
Only you. It’s never shared with pros, agents or partners without your OK. A pro only sees the address and access notes for a job they’ve accepted. You can edit or delete anything at any time.
Can I add work that wasn’t booked on Genie?
Yes. Add past jobs and upgrades (a new roof, a replaced furnace), receipts with a photo, warranties with their end date, and notes. Jobs booked on Genie are added automatically.
Will it lower my insurance or raise my home’s value?
We can’t promise either. What it does is keep dated records of maintenance and upgrades, which are the details insurers and buyers often ask about — so you have the answers and the proof when it counts.
I own a rental or an Airbnb. Does it work for that?
