Best practices — getting home cleaning done right
Know what good looks like before you book:
Book the same cleaner on a weekly or bi-weekly rhythm so they learn your home and it never piles up
Leave counters and floors clear so the cleaner spends time cleaning, not tidying
Flag your priorities (pet hair, hard-water stains, a specific room) when you book
Choose a deep clean for the first visit, then regular upkeep after
Why it's worth it
Hours back every week — the average home takes 3–5 hours to clean properly
A consistent, checklist-driven result instead of 'good enough'
The right products for each surface, so no streaks, haze or damage
A healthier home — less dust, dander and bathroom/kitchen grime
Book home cleaning one-off or on a recurring schedule
Need home cleaning just once? Book a single visit. Want it handled regularly? Set up a recurring schedule and it's taken care of automatically — no more remembering to re-book.
Pick your frequency — weekly, bi-weekly or monthly, whatever suits your routine.
Choose your days & times — pick the exact day of the week and time slot from the in-app calendar; Genie schedules every visit for you.
Keep the same pro — request the pro you like for every visit, so they learn your home and preferences.
Set it once, then relax — each visit is booked automatically and you're reminded beforehand, with your payment held in escrow and released only after each one is done.
Full control, no lock-in — skip, reschedule, pause or cancel any visit anytime in the app. Recurring plans also unlock member savings.
Sign in and Genie matches you with the nearest top-rated, verified pro and shows your price before you book. On the day your pro checks in, completes the work to the agreed scope, and shares completion photos where it makes sense — then you review and approve.
How to prepare
Clear access to the work area so your pro can start right away
Tell the pro your priorities when you book
Secure pets and put away anything fragile or valuable (for in-home jobs)
Share photos and details up front for the most accurate price
Every home & deep cleaning pro on Genie is background-checked and reviewed — and you'll see your price the moment you sign in.
