Best practices — getting deep clean done right
Know what good looks like before you book:
Book a deep clean before starting a regular schedule — it levels the playing field
Allow extra time; a true deep clean takes noticeably longer than upkeep
Point out the worst areas so the pro front-loads the effort there
Pair with carpet or window cleaning for a full seasonal refresh
Why it's worth it
Resets a home that's fallen behind to a genuinely clean baseline
Removes allergens, grease and mildew that regular cleaning leaves behind
Protects surfaces — built-up grime etches tile, glass and stone over time
Makes ongoing upkeep faster and cheaper
Deep clean: $52/hr upfront
That’s the price you pay (plus sales tax for your province) — book a vetted local pro in minutes.
Sign in and Genie matches you with the nearest top-rated, verified pro and shows your price before you book. On the day your pro checks in, completes the work to the agreed scope, and shares completion photos where it makes sense — then you review and approve.
How to prepare
Clear access to the work area so your pro can start right away
Tell the pro your priorities when you book
Secure pets and put away anything fragile or valuable (for in-home jobs)
Share photos and details up front for the most accurate price
Every home & deep cleaning pro on Genie is background-checked and reviewed — and you'll see your price the moment you sign in.
Why choose Genie
An upfront price before you book — no quotes lottery, no surprise minimums

How quickly can I get deep clean?
Many deep clean jobs can be booked same-day or next-day. Genie alerts vetted pros near you right away and re-opens your job to other pros fast if anyone cancels.
Are Genie's home & deep cleaning pros vetted?
Every Genie pro is identity-verified with reviews from real, completed jobs, and an automated criminal background check applies for in-home roles. You see ratings and past work up front.
What if I'm not happy with the deep clean job?
Your payment is held securely and only released when you confirm the deep clean job is done to your satisfaction. Workmanship is warrantied, and support is a tap away if anything's off.
Do I need to provide supplies for deep clean?
You can choose a pro who brings their own supplies and equipment, or use yours — you'll see the option when you book. Eco-friendly products are available too.
