Best practices — getting artificial turf done right
Know what good looks like before you book:
Insist on proper base prep and drainage — it's what makes turf last
Choose a pet-rated turf and infill if you have dogs
Pick a realistic pile height for the use
Brush high-traffic areas occasionally to keep it upright
Why it's worth it
No mowing, watering, fertilizing or muddy paws
Green year-round, even in drought or shade
Lasts 15+ years with proper installation
Saves water and ongoing lawn costs
