Best practices — getting dog walking done right
Know what good looks like before you book:
Set a consistent walk time so your dog settles into a routine
Share commands, triggers and routine up front
Start with a meet-and-greet for a nervous dog
Book recurring slots to keep the same walker
Why it's worth it
A tired dog is a happy, well-behaved dog
Relief and exercise during long workdays
Vetted, trusted walkers with updates
Consistency your dog can rely on
Book dog walking one-off or on a recurring schedule
Need dog walking just once? Book a single visit. Want it handled regularly? Set up a recurring schedule and it's taken care of automatically — no more remembering to re-book.
Pick your frequency — weekly, bi-weekly or monthly, whatever suits your routine.
Choose your days & times — pick the exact day of the week and time slot from the in-app calendar; Genie schedules every visit for you.
Keep the same pro — request the pro you like for every visit, so they learn your pet and routine.
Set it once, then relax — each visit is booked automatically and you're reminded beforehand, with your payment held in escrow and released only after each one is done.
Full control, no lock-in — skip, reschedule, pause or cancel any visit anytime in the app. Recurring plans also unlock member savings.
Sign in and Genie matches you with the nearest top-rated, verified pro and shows your price before you book. On the day your pro checks in, completes the work to the agreed scope, and shares completion photos where it makes sense — then you review and approve.
How to prepare
Share feeding, walking and medication instructions
Leave out food, leash, litter and any supplies
Give access details and an emergency contact

Every pet care & sitting pro on Genie is background-checked and reviewed — and you'll see your price the moment you sign in.
